Hope-Campbell set new ODI record
The West Indies openers Shai Hope and John Campbell scripted a world record with a 365-run partnership for the opening stand against Ireland in the tri-series opener at the Clontarf Cricket Club Ground in Dublin on Sunday.
Hope and Campbell moved past Pakistan‘s Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq‘s 304-run stand against Zimbabwe registered last year, during the first ODI against Ireland in the Tri Series opener at Dublin.
It is also the first time in ODI format of the game that both openers have scored more than 150 runs.
The stand was broken when John Campbell (179) was dismissed in the 48th over. Hope (170) was out the same over. West Indies scored 381 for 3 in their 50 overs.
