Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was suspended by the ICC for not reporting corrupt approaches from a bookie, has been released by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of next month’s players’ auction for the Indian Premier League.

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who was suspended by the ICC for not reporting corrupt approaches from a bookie, has been released by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of next month’s players’ auction for the Indian Premier League.

Shakib’s name figures in the list of players released yesterday by the IPL organisers.

Shakib was one of five players released by the Sunrisers, the others being Yousuf Pathan, Martin Guptill, Deepak Huda and Ricky Bhui.

Shakib’s ban means he will be out of all cricket until well after the timing of the IPL next year.
