Inter in Modric talks with Real?
Inter Milan have made an ambitious effort to sign Luka Modric from Real Madrid.
Numerous outlets in Italy reported yesterday that the Serie A club have already made contact with Modric's representatives, and the Croatian is open to the idea of a move to the San Siro.
The 32-year-old moved to Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 and has since made 257 appearances for the Spanish giants, winning four Champions Leagues along the way.
This summer, he captained the Croatia side which made it to the World Cup final and was given the Golden Ball award for his performances.
Modrić still has two years left to run on his contract at the Santiago Bernabéu and there has not yet been any speculation regarding the sort of transfer fee he would command.
Inter are looking to bolster their midfield options after qualifying for this season’s Champions League for the first time in six years.
If they are unable to sign Modric, it is thought they will have a better chance of capturing Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal, and the Chilean has reportedly already agreed personal terms with the Nerazzurri.
But if Modric does head to Milan, he will be linking up with his international colleagues Ivan Perisic, Marcelo Brozovic and new signing Sime Vrsaljko.
