Iron-cop completes Ironman challenge

Mishu Biswas, additional deputy police commissioner of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, swapped one Herculean task for another, taking a break from keeping the city safe to complete a triathlon in Malaysia on Sunday.

In doing so, Mishu became the civil servant (BCS cadre) to complete an Ironman event finishing the 42.2km course in 13 hours and 19 minutes, finishing 151st among 381 participants and 11th in his age group (30-34).

Mishu had also tasted success in a triathlon before, completing Ironman Turkey in 2021. He also became the first policeman to cross the Bangla channel in 2020.
