Marma wins a bronze

Gymnast Wohaimong Marma won a bronze medal in the 15th Singapore Open Gymnastics Championships, said a press release yesterday.

Wohaimong finished third in the 12-14 age group vault event and became sixth overall in the all-around competition, which is expected to end today.

The Bangladesh Gymnastic Federation previously refrained from participating in international events for a long time, citing financial constraints but has now begun to take part in such international meets after being instructed to do so by the Asian Gymnastic Union.
