Pistol coach Young reappointed
Bangladesh Shooting Sport Federation (BSSF) yesterday appointed South Korean coach Kim Il Young as the pistol coach of the national shooters for up to 2024 Paris Olympics at a programme at the BSSF Shooting Complex in Gulshan.
Young, who had earlier trained the Bangladeshi shooters twice -- for three months in 2016 and for 17 months in 2018-2019 period -- has been given responsibility for three more years to hone the skills of pistol shooters.
Young signed the contract in presence of BSSF president Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan and BSSF secretary general Entekhabul Hamid Apu following seven-day quarantine upon his arrival on May 14.
The veteran coach will conduct training for only Shakil Ahmed for Tokyo Olympics and then he will start fresh training programme for selected pistol shooters.
