‘Tobacco haat’ on Lalmonirhat school ground

Tobacco is sold at the altar of the Shaheed Minar of a Lalmonirhat school during the tobacco season every year. When February 21 is celebrated as International Mother Language day, tobacco haat sits at the altar of Shaheed Minar set up at Durakati Government Primary School. It's very shocking that the local administration has leased the school grounds for such a market. Tobacco sellers and buyers walk on the Shaheed Minar wearing shoes during the haat.

The school authorities never complained about this tobacco market.
