15 army officers brought to ICT: What unfolded at the court premises since dawn
Heavy security blanketed the old High Court area from the early hours of the morning
Heavy security blanketed the old High Court area from the early hours of the morning as 15 army officers were brought at the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in connection with cases linked to murders during the July uprising and enforced disappearance.
Around 7:00am, a green, air-conditioned prison van transported the officers under tight police escort. They were produced before the tribunal, marking the first time that enforced disappearance accused have appeared in person before the ICT.
Later, around 11:00am, the officers were transferred to a sub-jail within the cantonment following hearing at the ICT, according to defence counsel Barrister M Sarwar Hossain.
