Bhairab river being filled with dredged sediments

Dredged sediments and garbage are going back into Bhairab in a strange attempt to restore the river.

The contractor assigned to restore the 96km stretch of Bhairab has already collected bills for completing two-third of the work.

This river was already narrowed down with illegal occupation and heaps of waste. Now, with this "dredging" going on, the river has been reduced to no wider than a canal. Watch more in today's Star Newsbytes.
