Remembering Abul Mansur Ahmad on his 123rd birth anniversary

Abul Mansur Ahmad, a politician, journalist, lawyer and writer, was born over a hundred years ago. Tomorrow, September 3, is his 123rd birth anniversary. Even though he was born over a century ago, the relevance of his writing, his perspective and his satirical attack on prejudice, communalism and aggression of political and cultural nature, is far from waning. Praising his extraordinary skill of drawing out the essence of language, his friend Kazi Nazrul Islam said "His hand is the hand of a virtuoso."
