Waiting for a functioning bridge for half a century

​​​​​​​Residents of 10 villages in Panchagarh Sadar upazila have relied mostly on the wooden bridge, that they made by themselves after no initiative from the authorities in about half a century, to cross the Chawai River. However, after the bridge partially collapsed on Saturday, they now have to travel an extra 8-10 km for their daily necessities.
