Why toll for Bangabandhu and Muktarpur bridges raised up to 50%?

Tolls to use Bangabandhu and Muktarpur bridges, currently the two largest and busiest in the country, are being raised 10 to 50 percent, according to the Bangladesh Bridge Authority, to manage maintenance and repair costs. But why is this being done now? What are the new tolls for different types of vehicles? Have the authorities followed proper procedure and contacted other stakeholders before deciding this raise in toll?
