Celebrating achievements of Bangladesh's ceramics industry
The Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2017 is the first ever international exhibition on the ceramics industry in Bangladesh.

The Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2017 is the first ever international exhibition on the ceramics industry in Bangladesh. It will bring all the local manufacturers, exporters and suppliers of ceramics and allied products onto a single platform and showcase their achievements, earned through creative entrepreneurship and hard work over the years, to the world.

The Expo will be held at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) from November 30 to December 2, 2017. The international exhibition is expected to be attended by representatives of more than 52 global brands, manufacturers and suppliers of ceramic raw materials and machineries from 13 countries.

A good number of international media will also participate in the Expo. Bangladesh, being a high-quality producer of ceramics and having skilled manpower, low labour cost and supply of sulphur-free natural gas, is perfectly positioned to be a strategic partner in the production and supply of ceramic goods on a global scale. As a result, there is ample scope for foreign ceramic manufacturers, buyers and investors to explore and invest in the emerging ceramics industry of Bangladesh.

Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah MP, President of Bangladesh Ceramics Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BCMEA) and Managing Director of the principal sponsor of the Expo China-Bangla Ceramic Industries Limited, shares, “The Ceramic Expo is a milestone for the ceramics industry in Bangladesh. The response we have gotten is simply outstanding.”

The trade show will be a significant vehicle for promoting and encouraging the private and public sectors for building a strong business relationship with Bangladesh's ceramics industry. On the one hand it will create awareness among the local consumers about using indigenous ceramic products and on the other hand international manufacturers and buyers will get to know about the improvement of our ceramics sector, adds Shirajul Islam Mollah.

He informs that they have already started taking preparation for the next Ceramic Expo and from now on such international exhibitions on Bangladesh's ceramics industry will be held on a regular basis.
