Ruling 14-party alliance will stage a human chain in Dhaka on February 15, protesting Pakistan’s denial of 1971 war atrocities and BNP chief Khaleda’s statement on the number of war martyrs.

A five-member committee is formed to gather information about all Pakistani prisoners of war (POWs) who were allegedly involved in war crimes during the country’s 1971 War of Independence.

The investigation agency of International Crimes Tribunal says investigation against 195 Pakistani prisoners of war will be started in “suitable environment” following “directive from higher authorities”.
