The seventh edition of the Joy Filmfare Awards (Bangla) has unveiled its nominations, and alongside Jaya Ahsan, four other Bangladeshi artistes have earned nominations at this prestigious award ceremony.

The actress was awarded the title Most Promising Actress of the year 2023, for her debut film in Tollywood, “Aaro Ek Prithibi”, by the association in their annual award show, titled “Cinemar Somaborton” on Tuesday.

Bangladeshi actresses Jaya Ahsan and Tasnia Farin have earned the honour of being nominated for the Cinemar Somabarton 2024 Awards presented by the West Bengal Film Journalists' Association (WBFJA). Jaya secured a nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category for Kaushik Ganguly's film “Ardhangini” while Farin secured a spot in the Most Promising Actor Female category for her role in Atanu Ghosh’s film “Aaro Ek Prithibi”.

Renowned actress Tasnia Farin’s Tollywood debut film, “Aaro Ek Prithibi” is set to have its theatrical release in Kolkata on February 3. The actress has been quite busy promoting the Atanu Ghosh directorial film in India. Taking a moment to congratulate the actress on the occasion, noted actor Chanchal Chowdhury shared his best wishes for “Aaro Ek Prithibi”, via a video message that he posted on social media.

Having made a name for herself in tele-fictions and web-series, popular actress Tasnia Farin was all set to make her silver-screen debut with the Tollywood film, "Aaro Ek Prithibi", on December 2. However, the release date for the film has now been postponed.
