Last year, a handful of watercolour paintings of Abdus Shakoor Shah, along with a few selected works of two other artists from Bangladesh were put in an exhibition in a gallery in Tokyo, under the title “Three poems from Bangladesh”.

To inspire creativity and to diffuse the practice of science and culture among the students of the rural schools, the first Joypurhat Fine Art Festival was held last month at Teghar High School premises, Joypurhat.

“Muse of Myths”, a solo art exhibition by eminent artist Abdus Shakoor Shah, is currently on at the Bengal Gallery of Fine Arts, Dhanmandi.
