Newly appointed Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq takes over charge of the force.

Lt Gen Abu Belal Muhammad Shafiul Huq has been made the new chief of Bangladesh Army. He will replace Gen Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan.
