Abu Tauhid Heron, the director of the film “Adam” released last year during Eid-ul-Fitr, has passed away at the age of 38.

The Jannatul Ferdous Oishee starrer film, "Adam" was released this Eid. Even in its third week, it is running in several theatres across the country, including Dhaka.

Unlike the previous Eid, this one was quite special for the Bangladeshi film industry, as a total of eight films were released in theaters. The movies released were: "Leader Amie Bangladesh", "Jinn", "Kill Him", "Paap", "Shotru", "Prem Pritir Bandhan" and "Adam".

The writ-petition was filed by Md Jamil Hasan, requesting to ban “Adam” from airing on the basis of the film containing scenes and messages that hurt religious sentiments and promotes extramarital affairs.

The trailer of the film, "Adam", starring Jannatul Ferdous Oishee and Yash Rohan in the lead roles, was released yesterday. Directed by Abu Tauhid Heron, the film is expected to release in theatres this upcoming Eid.
