The High Court yesterday summoned Additional Deputy Commissioner (general) of Laxmipur Sheikh Murshidul Islam and Executive Magistrate Nuruzzaman over an incident of punishing a former acting civil surgeon through a mobile court.

A 3-member committee is formed to investigate the allegation against police of denial to register a GD (General Diary) when slain blogger Niladri Chaterjee alias Niloy had gone to the police station in May last.
