"Adim" delves into the lives of slum dwellers, poignantly depicting their relentless struggle for survival and dignity, amidst poverty and deprivation. Shot exclusively in a Tongi slum, the film features a predominantly non-professional cast, adding a layer of authenticity to their portrayals.

National award-winning actor Jaya Ahsan wanted to watch Juboraj Shamim's "Adim" since its release in Bangladesh, but unfortunately, she couldn't make time to watch it at Star Cineplex. 

Initially released in only four theaters on May 26, “Adim” garnered unexpected success, selling tickets worth BDT 1 lac and prompting a demand for wider screenings. However, due to commercial reasons, mainstream cineplexes were unable to continue showing the film. Undeterred, young filmmaker Juboraj Shamim decided to take an alternative path to ensure that audiences from different districts could experience the movie.

On Wednesday afternoon, a huge queue lined up in front of the Star Cineplex ticket counter to watch "Adim." The excited audiences never watched a movie in Cineplex and so they were quite excited. 

After a blockbuster Eid this year, two films, titled "Maa,” directed by Aranya Anawer, and "Adim,” directed by Juboraj Shamim, were released today in theaters. Both films were released in just three halls. There will be nine shows every day for both films. 

Juboraj Shamim's "Adim"  is all set to hit theaters on May 26. The movie, which won accolades at many International Film Festivals, has already created a buzz on social media after the recent release of its trailer. 

"Adim" director, Juboraj Shamim has recently informed media outlets that after releasing in Bangladesh, the film will soon be screened at a film festival in Bulgaria.
