While Islamist terrorists have re-emerged recently, killing bloggers, writers, foreign nationals and Shias, and attacking an Ahmadiyya mosque, with impunity, one wonders how leaders, intellectuals, and ordinary people in Bangladesh can afford to waste time and energy in partisan politics!

Three days have gone by since a suicide attack in an Ahmadiyya mosque in Sayedpur Chalkpara of Rajshahi but police still do not know who the bomber was.

It just cannot be the country the world knows of.

It was a suicide attacker who blew himself up inside an Ahmadiyya mosque in Rajshahi on Friday, initial police findings and the autopsy report have confirmed. While the investigators point finger at the outlawed Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) for the attack, US-based SITE Intelligence Group has reported that the Islamic State militants have claimed responsibility for it.

As police sue two unknown assailants over the Bagmara Ahmadiyya mosque blast in Rajshahi, autopsy report confirms the dead youth as one of the attackers. None of the attackers have been identified yet and none held.
