Mani Ratnam's "Ponniyin Selvan-1 (PS1)" has made Rs 500 crore worldwide just after fifty days of its September 30 release, making it only the second Tamil movie to do so after the Rajnikanth-starring "2.0." In Tamil Nadu, it has become the highest grossing film with gross earnings over Rs. 230 crore, surpassing SS Rajamouli’s “Baahubali 2”.
