Around 4.9 lakh farmers will get seeds, fertilisers free of cost

The bumper yield of Aman paddy and good prices has brought big smiles to the faces of rice growers in six northern districts.

Due to minimal rainfall, cultivation of Aman paddy in Chattogram has witnessed a setback.

One may note that farmers have to buy diesel and fertilisers at a higher rate at retail level than the government-fixed prices.
