Deepto TV has announced a week-long special programme to mark Eid-ul-Fitr, featuring a lineup of Bengali films, including three world premieres.

Following the social media controversy over two prominent actresses, Mehazabien Chowdhury in Chattogram and Pori Moni in Tangail, being prevented from attending launch events in their respective locations, another actress, Apu Biswas, has faced the same obstacle today. She was scheduled to inaugurate a restaurant in Dhaka’s Kamrangirchar area.

Apu Biswas mentioned in the general diary that not only have these pages and channels made ill comments but they have also used still images of her family members, made inappropriate remarks, and made some unacceptable videos to post them on social media.

Alongside the debut of fresh content, they've also orchestrated special screenings of beloved films for audiences to savour on the inaugural day of the festival. Now, let's take a look at the exclusive lineup of entertainment awaiting viewers on Eid Day 3 (April 13).

Similar to last week, two films are being released this week too. One is “Srabon Josnay” by Abdus Samad Khokon, and the other is "Chaya Brikkho" by Bandhan Biswas. Both films received government funding, and a total of 23 halls are scheduled to screen each of them starting today.

Apu Biswas, with nearly two decades of experience in showbiz, has recently collaborated with director Salman Haider for an untitled film. In this project, she will portray the role of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and has requested a remuneration fee of only Tk 100.

This year has been quite an eventful for Apu Biswas. She got embroiled in a controversy unwillingly but still, the actress bravely put up a strong face and cleared up the conflict with a smile.

Recently, following the dissemination of a modified version of actress Apu Biswas' conversation with Gaan Bangla Chairperson Farzana Munny on a ‘controversial matter,’ false information proliferated both in local media and on various social media platforms.

The programme is scheduled to be telecast at 7:50 pm on Friday at ATN Bangla, confirmed Anjam Masud, the director and convenor of the show.
