Automobile sales in Bangladesh recorded the steepest fall in profits among all sectors in fiscal 2022-23

Fresh investment of around Tk 2,500 crore has been made in the automobile industry in the past two and half years since the formulation of the Automobile Industry Development Policy 2021, according to industry insiders.

Bogra Motors Pvt Ltd, a factory located in the Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation’s (BSCIC) industrial estate in Bogura, has achieved a remarkable feat as it can produce filters that can be used in automobiles both at home and abroad.

The automobile industry in Bangladesh, as a whole, is growing. We have an estimated annual demand of 30,000 units for the passenger vehicles among which brand new vehicles are contributing 5,000 units.
