Calling the cancellation of the Bangamata Under-19 Women’s International Gold Cup final as unfortunate, Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) president Kazi Salahuddin said that the right decision was made considering the gravity of the threat posed by Cyclone Fani.

Hosts Bangladesh will take on United Arab Emirates when the first Bangamata U-19 Women’s International Gold Cup kicks off tomorrow at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.

Bangladesh were placed in Group B alongside UAE and Kyrgyzstan in the official draw of the Bangamata U-19 Women's International Gold Cup, which was held through a colourful ceremony at the Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka.
