Expressing sorrow for Eid holidaymakers' sufferings on highways amid gridlocks, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader says the situation will improve this afternoon.

To spend Eid back home in Dinajpur, Sultan Mahmud and his family members started from the capital’s Gabtoli around 10:00pm on Friday.

Users of the ride sharing service, Uber, have recently alleged that the fare was exorbitantly high during the Eid holidays and therefore, many of them opted out of the service and instead took other modes of transport.
