The Malaysian government decides to suspend the recruitment of all foreign workers to Malaysia, including those from Bangladesh, says its Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

The deal to send 1.5 million Bangladeshi workers to Malaysia within the next three years has been signed.

The cabinet approves the draft of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Act 2016 to make the immigration procedure easier and hassle free.

The government will continue sending female workers for domestic jobs to Saudi Arabia, says Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam.
