BNP vice chairman Abdullah Al Noman demands a judicial investigation into the “extrajudicial killings” carried out by law enforcers during the ongoing nationwide anti-narcotic operation.

An alleged robber is killed in a “gunfight” between his cohorts and police in Shailakupa upazila of Jhenidah early today.

Cops never indulge in extrajudicial killings in the name of “crossfire”, but if under attack, they open fire in self defence, said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia yesterday.
