Tenants in Dhaka city face house rent hikes in the middle of an inflation fuelled economy

House rent in different parts of Bangladesh rose by 5.93 percent in the April-June period of fiscal 2022-23

The High Court issues a rule asking the government to explain why it should not be directed to form a commission in order to make necessary recommendations for setting a standard of the house rent and to appoint a rent controller at ward level.
