State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today (June 14, 2022) in parliament blamed the excessive number of trees in rural areas and said they are a hindrance to uninterrupted power supply even though, according to the junior minister, there is no deficit of electricity production as per the country’s demand.

The government is expected to ensure 100 per cent electrification to all villages in the country by December this year, Sate Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today tells parliament.
