Tejgaon College's Theater and Media Studies Department has already gained popularity with this play, as its second production. The directors have said that the next showing of this play will take place on the stage of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy very soon.

While achieving success on the TV screen, she consistently maintained her connection with the stage.

The Greek classical play "Medea" was staged yesterday evening by Dhaka Theatre at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy's Studio Theatre Auditorium in the capital’s Segun Bagicha Road. Directed by Humayun Kabir Himu, this production marks the 51st theatrical endeavour by Dhaka Theatre – a prominent theatrical organisation in Bangladesh. Professor Abdus Selim provided the Bengali translation for it, adapting from George Theodoridis' English translation of the play.

The three-phase celebration programme began with a convention bringing together over 500 thespians, and theater activists at 4:00 pm at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.

The event, which unfolded at Bottola’s Baulkunja on Academy premises, brought together Bauls, Sadhus, and artistes from across the country, creating a kaleidoscope of artistic expressions. Liaquat Ali Lucky, the director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA), assumed the role of the event's presider, emphasising the pivotal role of cultural diversity in shaping the world. 

The actress was admitted into the Universal Medical College Hospital in the capital in the early morning Sunday, confirmed Obhinoy Shilpi Sangha General Secretary and renowned actor Ahsan Habib Nasim.

Theaterian’s first production and 14th show of the famous play brought about the torturous despair of existence and set the stage on fire with eclectic performances throughout its 2:30-hour run-time at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy’s National Theatre Hall on Tuesday.

“Tirthojatri”, directed by Tauquir Ahmed, took the stage at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in Dhaka recently. This production marks the 16th instalment from his theatre troupe Natyakendra. The festival was organised as a part of year-long celebrations to mark 60 years of the Bangladesh Film Parliament Movement, and 50 years of the Federation of Film Societies of Bangladesh. Eminent cultural personality, and member of the parliament Asaduzzaman Noor was present as the chief guest at the closing ceremony of the festival. Director General of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Liaquat Ali Lucky, filmmaker and film parliamentarian Morshedul Islam were present as honoured guests.

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) is paying homage to legendary Bangladeshi artistes Tareque Masud, Sarah Begum Kabori, Alamgir Kabir, Munir Chowdhury and Amalendu Biswas through a remarkable three-day event titled, "Smriti Satta Bhabishyat" which started on Sunday and will end on Tuesday.
