Newly disclosed CAG report says it dodged payment of over Tk 2,200 crore to the exchequer

The state coffer is at least Tk 2,258.76 crore short, thanks to Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited’s failure to deposit the sum for mismanagement, shows audit report.

The Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) has offered a package of Tk 150 per month for calls within its network.

Bangladesh’s telecom authority says they will keep landlines and internet off in Dhaka’s commercial hub Motijheel from June 8-11.
