Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha admitted that the gulf in skill and quality between his side and India led to the crushing defeat seven-wicket defeat in the second and final Test at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur.

In a bombshell press conference on Thursday, Bangladesh ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan said that he had informed the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) that the upcoming South Africa Test series at home in October-November will be the last Test series of his career.

There are some positive signs and a few ill omens for Bangladesh ahead of their second and final Test against hosts India, beginning tomorrow in Kanpur.
