Sikandar Raza's splendid second consecutive hundred, along with skipper Regis Chakabva's maiden ODI ton, led Zimbabwe to a five-wicket victory against Bangladesh in the second ODI in Harare yesterday, thereby sealing the three-match ODI series with a game in hand. It was the hosts' first ODI series win against Bangladesh after nine years.

Batter Mohammad Naim and pacer Ebadot Hossain will be joining Bangladesh team in Harare for the final ODI against Zimbabwe, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed today. 

How many times did sloppy fielding cost Bangladesh a game? The number is definitely more than a handful. And once again, the five-wicket loss to Zimbabwe in the three-match ODI series opener at the Harare Sports Club yesterday was mostly due to a lacklustre display from Bangladesh’s fielders, at least according to Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal.

With the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup in Australia later this year in mind, the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe presents the ideal platform for selectors to try something different to change the Tigers’ dwindling fortunes in the shortest format of the game.

Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has said that the third and final ODI of the series against Zimbabwe, scheduled to be played on Friday, will be his last as captain for the Bangladesh ODI side.

Mushfiqur Rahim struck an unbeaten 203 -- his third double ton in Test cricket -- on the third day of the one off Test against Zimbabwe. The right-hander already held the record for the greatest number of double centuries for Bangladesh and he celebrated his third double hundred in Test cricket a little differently today.

Test cricket hasn’t really worked out for Bangladesh in the recent times. Tigers have managed to avoid an innings defeat only once in their last six matches. The only time the Tigers were able to avoid a defeat by an innings and more during this period was when they were thumped by 224 runs by rookie Afghans in September last year.

Due to a series of disappointments going back to an underwhelming World Cup campaign, Bangladesh’s game planning has been marked by a sense of restlessness recently.
