Bangladesh’s former cricketer Nafees Iqbal had been with the national side as team manager recently. He detailed in a Facebook post why he left the Bangladesh dressing room during the third ODI between Bangladesh and New Zealand at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. Nafees said that he had maintained all the protocols before leaving the dressing room in the middle of the match.

Mashrafe, however, gave a different opinion on his Facebook post, opining that Tamim was not dropped, instead the batter opted not to be in the side.

Following a night full of drama and rumors, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Tuesday announced a 15-member squad, to be led by Shakib Al Hasan and excluding opener Tamim Iqbal, for the upcoming World Cup in India.

Bangladesh ODI captain Shakib Al Hasan has communicated to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) that he does not want unfit players in the squad for the World Cup, a BCB source has told The Daily Star.
