The Bangladeshi film “Suraiya”, directed by Robiul Alam Robi and based on the novel of the same name by Shibabrata Barman, has been chosen for the Tasveer Film Festival and Market in Seattle, USA. 

The Bangladeshi film "Agantuk" (The Stranger) has been chosen to screen at the 15th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) in Australia. Directed by Biplob Sarkar, the film is a collaborative effort with co-producers Rammya Rahim Choudhury, Tazul Haque and himself. This esteemed festival, taking place from August 15 to 25, will showcase the freshest films from across the subcontinent.

The political thriller “Sultanpur”, which premiered in theatres nationwide on June 2 last year, is now slated for release in Hindi. 

The release of “Rajkumar” in Bangladesh has been creating quite a stir, with critics suggesting it ranks amongst Shakib Khan starrer top five films. The film is currently running in theatres across America, alongside Italy, and Australia.

Rafi explored various cities in China during his seven-day trip, noting the significant market for Hindi films, but observed fewer Indians compared to locals. These Hindi language films are dubbed in Chinese or, by using subtitles, get released for local audiences

This year’s event will take place at Nandan West Bengal Film Centre, Kolkata until November 2.

Bangladeshi film “Deho Station”, written and directed by Ahmed Tahsin Shams, was released on Amazon Prime Video for the UK and US regions. The story of the film follows a sex worker and her daughter, and the story of them trying to survive in society. While the mother-daughter duo strives for a brighter future, the film vividly portrays the challenges that come with their surroundings.

Young Bangladeshi director Abu Shahed Emon's debut feature film Jalaler Golpo wins the award for the best debut film by a director at the International Film Festival of Kerala.
