Mahmudullah Riyad scored his 26th ODI half-century as Bangladesh posted a challenging total of 290 for nine against Zimbabwe in the second ODI at the Harare Sports Club on Tuesday.

Bangladesh have lost the toss for the fifth time in five games on their tour to Zimbabwe. The Tigers, who lost the first ODI by five wickets, were asked to bat first by Zimbabwe captain Regis Chakabva in the second ODI in Harare on Tuesday.

After a 2-1 defeat in the preceding three-match T20I series, Bangladesh needed to bounce back in their favoured ODI format and Tamim Iqbal and his troops did exactly that, continuing their dominance in the 50-over game in the first of the three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe in Harare yesterday.

Bangladesh had a new man in for the toss -- stand-in skipper Mosaddek Hossain for the injured Nurul Hasan Sohan, but their toss fortune did not change as they lost the toss and sent in to field for the third time in the series during the third T20I against Zimbabwe on Tuesday.

Bangladesh were sent in to field again by Zimbabwe captain Sean Williams, who won the toss for the second game running in the three-match T20I series, on Sunday.

New captain of Bangladesh T20 team, Nurul Hasan Sohan, has said that he has learnt a lot from Mahmudullah Riyad, the man he replaced as skipper for the upcoming Zimbabwe tour.
