A paddle steamer along with around 100 passengers runs aground on an underwater shoal in Kirtonkhola River near Kauwar char in Barisal city due to dense fog.

A laden truck collides head-on with a three-wheeler, locally known as Mahindra, in Doriarpar area of Barisal city killing six people and injuring six others.
