It is rather telling of the people when the army has to show up because of how people behave at a concert. “They brought an international band to a mall to perform,” said Sakib, who had attended the concert with high hopes. “It was a total joke. Organisers started taking selfies with the band mid-show, while Jal had to ask 20 times for a light to be turned off.”

Mumtaz spoke with palpable excitement about returning to Bangladesh. "We are going to perform in Bangladesh after over a decade," he said, his eyes twinkling with nostalgia. "All Jal fans are probably grown up now, like me," he added with a chuckle. "But still they remember all the songs, it's so overwhelming for us to come here again and receive such a heartwarming welcome."

The renowned Pakistani band Jal is set to perform in Dhaka on September 27 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their debut album. The concert, titled "Legends of the Decade", will also feature the popular Bangladeshi band Aurthohin. This concert marks Aurthohin’s long-awaited return to the stage after a significant break.

This marks the band's fourth album, with their last release being the third album, "Danob", in 2006. The new album consists of nine songs, all inspired by the events of the Liberation War of 1971.

People who are concerned about him addressed their worries which he further cleared, stating, “Seeing me so dried up, the way you are worrying is unnecessarily creating mental tension for you. I am fine now, and it is due to your love and prayers that I can still wake up in the morning and say, 'Life is beautiful.' You are my inspiration. You all are my superhero! So, dispel any worries about me. If we ever meet somewhere, feel free to have coffee with me, if possible. I will pray a lot for you."

Aurthohin's vocalist, Saidus Salehin Khaled Sumon, widely recognised as Bassbaba Sumon, fought a prolonged battle against cancer. Apart from other health issues, he underwent surgeries for eye and spine complications.

In 2017, after receiving medical treatment, he was returning from a hospital in Bangkok, when a car suddenly hit him. The accident caused damage to his spinal cord. Subsequently, he had to undergo further treatment. After extensive treatment for both cancer and spinal cord injuries, Sumon returned to the country in 2021.

The highly anticipated Fuad Live concert took place on Christmas day, December 25, showcasing a night of amazing performances, beautiful songs, and endless amusement.

After almost six years, Aurthohin will finally be launching a new album, titled "Phoenix Er Diary-1" in December.

Now, like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Aurthohin has returned with a new single from their upcoming album, “Phoenix Diary 1”. 

Rock music legend and frontman of Aurthohin Bassbaba Sumon was featured in Bass Player Magazine. He is the first Bangladeshi artiste to be interviewed by the renowned international platform. The musician announced the news on his Facebook account.
