The Income Tax (IT) department’s sudden raid at the BBC premises in India has drawn widespread condemnation.

The BBC said it was "fully cooperating" with Indian tax authorities raiding its New Delhi and Mumbai offices on Tuesday, weeks after it aired a documentary critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
