Local prices of rice, oil, beef, egg, onion now higher than global markets: CPD
The prices of rice, edible oil, beef, sugar, egg and onion have risen more in Bangladesh than that of the international markets, affecting the poor people who are already suffering from erosion of purchasing capacity for pandemic caused income losses, said the Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD) today.

Beef price hiked before Eid
Just ahead of Eid-ul-fitr beef price has soared in the kitchen markets of Dhaka. Though both the city corporations fixed beef price at Tk 525 per Kg at the start of Ramadan, butchers are selling it for Tk 600 per Kg.

Beef, mutton prices fixed for Ramadan
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSSC) yesterday fixed the price of one kg of quality beef at Tk 420 and mutton at Tk 570 for the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
