Thousands of devotees from 66 countries raised their hands seeking blessings for mankind as the second phase of Biswa Ijtema ended today with Akheri Munajat

The first phase of the 57th Bishwa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of Muslims, ended today through "Akheri Munajat" (final prayers)

The first phase of Bishwa Ijtema, the largest Islamic congregation after Hajj, started yesterday on the bank of the Turag river in Tongi.

The first phase of Bishwa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of Muslim community after Hajj, will be held from January 10 to 12 and the second phase from January 17 to 19 next year.

Biswa Ijtema, one of the largest congregations of Muslims, will be held for four days in a single phase from February 15 this time.

The Biswa Ijtema will not be held as per its schedule this year due to the national election.

Bishwa Ijtema, the second largest congregation of the world’s Muslims, is scheduled to be held in two phases on the bank of the river Turag, on the outskirt of the capital Dhaka, from January 12-14 and January 19-21.
