BJMC and government must take measures to revitalise jute.

Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation (BJMC) could not pay arrears and benefits to all the laid-off government jute mill workers even after about two years.

Workers of state-owned jute mills in different districts enforced a 96-hour work abstention since 8:00am yesterday to press home their nine-point demand, which includes payment of outstanding wages.
