Boeing's quality control practices will be placed under a microscope this week

Boeing has agreed to plead guilty to a criminal fraud conspiracy charge to resolve a US Justice Department investigation linked to two 737 MAX fatal crashes, a government official said on Sunday

Boeing said it delivered 27 airplanes in January, which was down 29 percent from the same month last year

In the dramatic January 5 incident, Alaska Airlines Flight 1282 from Portland executed an emergency landing after a panel known as a "door plug" blew out mid-flight. There were no fatalities or serious injuries.

United said Monday it had "found instances that appear to relate to installation issues in the door plug -- for example, bolts that needed additional tightening."

Boeing Co will pay the families of 346 people killed in two fatal 737 MAX crashes $144,500 each from a $50 million financial assistance fund announced in July, the fund's administrators say.

The pilots of the Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX plane that crashed last month initially took the emergency steps outlined by the manufacturer but still could not regain control, The Wall Street Journal reports.

No airlines of Bangladesh would be allowed to operate the Boeing 737 Max family of aircraft until the probe reports of the two 737 Max 8 crashes are revealed, said Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh.
