Students from the Robotics Club of BRAC University, in collaboration with the startup Nabik Automations, have developed a remote-controlled robot to assist in flood relief in affected regions. Named 'Nabik', this two-foot-long boat is designed to deliver life jackets and food packages to places where larger vessels cannot reach. It also provides real-time footage to ensure communication between rescue teams and those in need.

Recent research led by BRAC James P Grant School of Public Health, BRAC University has shown study which indicates nearly 79% female commuters in Dhaka experience sexual harassment on public transport. Among which about 60% feel traumatised and 12% are unable to overcome the experience. The data consisted of 1030 respondents among which 60% were female and 40% were male. Analysis of the study titled ‘Transportation accessibility and Safety in Dhaka City: A Gender Based Assessment’ reveals that one in every six female commuters faces daily sexual harassment.

Mehrian Mohsin Adrita and Estiak Ahmed Saikat, two sixth-semester students from BRAC Business School took the initiative to provide healthy food to fellow students and founded SavoryKitchen.
