Internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi photographer Shahidul Alam has been conferred the "Prof. Satish Bahadur Lifetime Achievement

Demonstrators in New York gathered outside the United Nations headquarters on Thursday demanding release of noted photographer Shahidul Alam, as Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina addressed the UN General Assembly.

As many as 426 academics from various universities in Australia on Friday urged the Government of Bangladesh to immediately release eminent photographer and social activist Shahidul Alam, who was picked up by law enforcers on August 5.

Twenty-four national and international organisations yesterday called for immediate and unconditional release of noted photographer Shahidul Alam.
