In celebration of Chaitra Sangkranti 1423 and Pahela Baishakh 1424, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) arranged a two-day (April 13-14) celebration programme.

The busy urban living does not allow us to perform many of our rituals, festivities and practices the way our families observed them over the years. One such ritual is Chaitra Sankranti celebration.

Pahela Baishakh, the first day of the first month of Bangla calendar now is at doorstep. People from all walks of life are ready to celebrate the first day of the new year with much festivity.

Preparations for Chaitra Sangkranti and Pohela Boishakh are gathering steam in Barisal city.
