After an entire day of speculation and rumours, Coke Studio Bangla concert has commenced, at Bangladesh Army Stadium. An entire day of rain meant that the event had to be cut short, with most musicians abridging their set, and some having their slot cancelled altogether. Despite the 7-hour delay, music lovers have  filled the venue to the brim, being serenaded by Arnob & Co.

Grief can be both excruciating and cathartic.

As “Chiltey Roud” headed towards its majestic outro, pairing Boga Taleb’s resounding, celestial vocals with Shayan Chowdhury Arnob’s calming delivery – the shehnai playing in the background almost brought me to tears.

Let us get this out of the way first: “Nasek Nasek” was so dynamic, energetic and well-executed musically, that it made it unusually difficult for any song to follow it up.
