If you are a devoted listener of Coke Studio Bangla, chances are you may not have missed its Season 3 opener, “Tati,” — a song that celebrates not just the music, but the very soul of Bangladeshi craftsmanship. Released under the creative direction of Shayan Chowdhury Arnob, the vocalists include Md Gonjer Ali, Oli Boy and the evergreen Jaya Ahsan.

After impressing audiences by experimenting with different genres of music in songs like “Murir Tin", "Bonobibi", “Nahubo” and "Darale Duaarey", Coke Studio Bangla will now be releasing their fifth song, "Deora", a mixture of sarigaan and palagaan. The song will be released tomorrow at 7 pm.

They say that life is a great leveller – and that sentiment is doubly true for the entertainment industry. Coke Studio Bangla, a cultural phenomenon fuelled by endless debates about meritocracy and even capitalism in music, started season 2 with the highly appreciated “Murir Tin”, blending dialects of Chattogram, Khulna and Sylhet to make an incredible musical mishmash.

After a memorable run last year, Coke Studio Bangla is once again back for its second season. The premier track was released on 14 February with a song called ‘Murir Tin’ and if the first piece is anything to set a standard, we can expect Season 2 to be explosive.

Season 2 underway

After the successful launch of Coke Studio Bangla season 1, the new season is set to begin its magical journey from February 14. More than 20 artists across Bangladesh will come together to create over ten memorable tracks with soulful musical fusions, dynamic performances and more.
